The Lubavitcher Rebbe, of blessed memory.
ABOUT
Lubavitch of Philadelphia is one of four thousand branches of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, inspired and led by the late Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of blessed memory.
Founded in 1963 by Rabbi Abraham Shemtov and his wife in a small apartment in the Logan neighborhood, Lubavitch of Philadelphia has since blossomed into a region-wide network of over 40 community centers, organizations, and educational institutions.
Over the sixty years since its founding, over 45 couples have joined the Shemtovs in a life-long mission to build and enrich the Jewish community in the Delaware valley.
